Short Story - Completely Imaginary

He normally hates to get stuck in that particular traffic signal as it is a very big junction and it would take a long time to get the green signal. He hates it very much as he gets stuck very often. But today it was different. Today, he liked the red signal and wanted it to be there for as long as possible, as waiting near him was a very beautiful girl.

He looked at her and surprisingly, she looked at him back. It was a casual exchange of sight but it continued for a long time. He first thought, 'Could she be blind?' and immediately disposed the idea as it was not possible. He casually turned back and checked whether she was looking at someone behind him and there was not anyone who looked even remotely a competition to him.

When the casual look was no more casual and when it became curious, only 15 seconds were left to get the green signal. He kicked his bike and started it. When he got green signal, he was waiting for the traffic in front of him to move. She thought, "Hmm... not bad... he is not like many other aggressive, born-for-impatience (அவசரத்துக்கு பொறந்த), annoying, irritating @$$^)!#s who blow horn the moment green signal was given...". He thought, "Shit! I have to get the battery recharged first... otherwise, I would have blown the horn to get her attention better..."

Thanks Palani... for leaving a comment... Yes... the born-for-impatience guys... I actually wanted to scold more bad words, but it would disgrace that girl character right? :)

You know, I was actually expecting the typical Amudhan 'twist' at the end; like your music keyboard/ kisses story. Somehow, I got atuned to you writing on such lines...especially get alerted whenever you start randomly without naming the characters. Lol. I still wonder if no pun was intended anywhere... very fishy :)

"and there was not anyone who looked even remotely a competition to him." - Haha, good one!

@Sindu
'Not all Sardines are meant to swim'. If you say "I don't understand fishing metaphors..." then you can watch Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs movie :)

Stories with random 'he/she' is to avoid wasting time on thinking of a name :). If the story is short and only one he and a she is going to be there, I am too lazy to think of a name.

The only purpose of this post is to scold the people who blow horn the nano second the green signal is given. Actually, I was riding along with my friend and when we got stuck in a signal, I thought he would honk on the green signal, but he didn't... I thought 'may be his battery is down' and this junk post is the result of that extremely junk PJ I thought myself :)

Thanks for the comment...

@Jency:
'He' is not 'Me'. Never. At least not always :)

Thanks for leaving a comment...

There has been a problem with Blogger it seems... especially with comments section... Your comment came for moderation to my gmail but I couldn't publish it as it gave some errors. So, I had to copy paste your comment from gmail and post an anonymous comment (myself) on your name :) you can see that by the icon of your first comment...

Why I am telling is, even after I posted a comment, it didn't appear. So, I posted once more and it didn't appear then also... I left it... Why would I comment twice using my name for the same content :) I haven't been that much desperate till now :P

[oh god... please let this be posted without much trouble]

What you don't know what this 'honking at the green signal' mean?

It is a culture in cities to nudge the so called slow starters who would block the front line. Some auto drivers will sleep also in the signal. Somebody needs to wake them up.

Well, all in all, I always use a gentle honk than an irritating blow :)
